As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for operating the meat department to the high standards set forth by the company. You will trim and prepare standard cuts of meat as specified in-store guidelines and follow the store’s meat merchandising plan. The Meat Cutter’s goal is to drive sales within the meat department and maximize profitability.ResponsibilitiesCut and trim meat using knives and power equipmentPackage and display meat in an attractive mannerOrder inventory and maintain appropriate levels of stockReceive and inspect meat as it arrives to the storeEnsure the cold chain is unbroken and meat remains high qualityFollow high standards of sanitation and quality controlQualificationsMust be 18 years of ageHigh school diploma/GED requiredExperience using meat cutting equipment, power equipment, and hand toolsAbility to stand for long periods and regularly lift 30lbs
