Job Description

We are seeking a Junior Data Analyst to join a growing healthcare organization in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity ideal for someone with healthcare or insurance industry experience who enjoys working with data, reporting, and identifying trends.

Position Details

• Experience Required: Previous healthcare industry experience strongly preferred; candidates with insurance industry experience will also be considered

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and analyze data to support business and operational needs
• Create and maintain recurring reports, dashboards, and data trackers
• Review datasets for accuracy, completeness, and inconsistencies
• Identify trends and provide clear summaries of findings to internal stakeholders
• Assist with ad hoc reporting and data requests
• Work with teams across the organization to gather information and improve reporting processes
• Maintain accurate documentation related to reports and data processes
• Support ongoing projects involving healthcare, operational, financial, or patient-related data

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within healthcare or insurance is required
• 1–3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or a related analytical role preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, lookups, formulas, and data manipulation
• Experience working with large datasets and preparing reports
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in data
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate data and findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or an EMR/EHR system is a plus
• Comfortable working fully onsite in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood
