Job Description

We are seeking an Industrial Printing Equipment Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair complex printing and packaging machinery in a high-volume industrial setting.

This position involves maintaining a variety of industrial printing, finishing, packaging, and mail processing equipment. The technician will apply mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills to ensure equipment operates within manufacturing standards and supports high-volume production demands.

• SCHEDULE: 1st Shift Monday-Friday 6:30am-2:30pm
• PAY RATE: $27.00hr

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical and electromechanical industrial printing equipment through inspection, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Disassemble machines, replace worn or broken parts, adjust mechanical components, and restore equipment to operational standards.
• Interpret and utilize diagrams, schematics, manuals, and engineering specifications for repair and maintenance tasks.
• Clean and lubricate moving parts, order replacement components, and verify operational tolerances are met.
• Adapt tools and procedures to address unique equipment challenges and assist in resolving complex mechanical or electrical issues.
• Work with low voltage electrical and electronic systems including wiring, motors, sensors, relays, and control circuits.
• Troubleshoot and support Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and automation controls.
• Perform tasks such as connecting laptops to printing machines for configuration changes like IP address updates.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of machine maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge of complex industrial equipment.
• Experience with diagnostic tools including digital multimeter, clamp meter, continuity tester, non-contact voltage tester, and logic probe.
• Proficient in use of basic hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of basic electrical and electronic repairs.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow technical documentation and engineering specifications.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with sheetfed offset printing presses.
• Experience with high-speed manufacturing, print, bindery, inserting, packaging, or fulfillment equipment.
