Key ResponsibilitiesPlease make sure you read the following details carefully before making any applications.Plan and implement evidence-based programs and initiatives to prevent tobacco use among youth and young adults.Assist and support schools in implementing tobacco prevention and cessation initiatives.Collaborate with program staff to plan and deliver youth engagement training related to tobacco prevention.Participate in trainings, workshops, conferences, and meetings related to tobacco prevention and control.Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve program goals and objectives.Maintain up-to-date knowledge to support the implementation of community health education interventions and programs.Identify educational needs and support the development and delivery of educational training programs and classes.Assist with designing and delivering training programs for health department employees, teachers, and other professionals.Prepare and distribute program materials to internal and external stakeholders involved in tobacco prevention initiatives.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in health education, biology, or a related field.Minimum of five years of experience in public health, education, or a related field.Ability to manage, prioritize, and complete tasks effectively while working remotely.Additional Requirements and Work ArrangementsMust be a resident of Tennessee.One professional reference is required.Hybrid work arrangement, with a minimum of one day per week in the office. Additional in-office attendance may be required at the supervisor's discretion.In-person attendance is required on the first day of employment in Nashville, Tennessee, for laptop deployment and onboarding.In-person attendance is required for quarterly meetings and professional development opportunities.Travel to the office is not reimbursed. Travel for site visits outside the Nashville metropolitan area will be reimbursed in accordance with state policy.The contract is expected to be renewed annually, subject to program funding. Funding is anticipated to continue through at least June 2030.Working HoursMonday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Central Time.37.5 hours per week. xhyhwjd Overtime is not permitted.
